Week 2 – Ethics and Group Work
This week in Group work we explored the differences between psychoeducational and group counselling models. Where and when we should apply these practices. While in Ethics we looked at the history of legislation in Australia, natural law and legal positivism concepts.

This week, in Ethics, we have been asked to look at the Human Rights Bill and how that’s implemented in Australia. In Group Work we have been asked to research the history of group work in Australia, using the following books; Continual Change Groupwork, Making Groups Work and an Introduction into Group Work.

We take a look at the various Government Divisions and the roles they have in supporting the Community Sector. This includes both Federal, State and Local Government responsibilities.
